My love is to take a piece of card and make folds that turn into unusually shaped cards. We use many different craft items such as inks, stamps, glitter and so much more. Die cutting brings lovely embellishments to add to our cards. My aim is that we learn something new while enjoying ourselves and the end of morning have something the ladies can be proud of to take home.
I visited the U3A Open Day last year and introduced myself to Dee who runs the cardmaking group. She said her group was full and I should start another one; so I did! I have made some lovely new friends and have also joined other Activities within the Verwood U3A.
My passion with card began at Christmas 1998 when I received a beautiful card from a long lost friend. I rang her to ask her if she had made it .Of course the answer was yes. From that moment I was hooked! Crafting is a passion that draws you in more and more and is very addictive, but along the way you can’t help meeting such lovely people to share your ideas with.
