Another successful year at the Verwood U3A, with more members, more activities and lower membership fee, every year for the last three years. Let's look forward to another great year doing interesting things and making new friends.

Spring has sprung
The grass is riz
I wonder where that mower is!
There's the mower in the shed
Forget the grass
Go back to bed

OK, so I stole the first two and a half lines. Does anyone remember the original?

Hi folks.  One day back in November, I had to get into Ringwood, but the A31 was jammed. So I parked under the bridge and ran an walked to my appointment. I did the same on the way back, got home to find my phone had gone (Zip open on pocket!) So I spent the rest of that day tyring to get it back carefully retracing my steps.

I have it back now, AND I have also enabled "Find My Phone" on Samsung, on Talktalk and on AVG. I run the app from another phone of my PC, and it shows the location on the map!!  As it turned out on the day, A nice lady found it on the path less than a minute after I had dropped it and eventually found me by tea time.

MORAL: Be with nice people & enable that Find My Phone app!!

During my eye test yesterday the Specsavers lady read on my records that I was in the University of the Third Age. Slightly embarrassed, she asked me what this meant. It turned out she thought it was a "New Age University" for crystal-loving tree-hugging hippies!

Having joined the camera club in the middle of the year, I must say it is excellent, non-competitive and well run By Peter Kingsbury with the help of Colin Perry. --- Merry Christmas to them both.
