The Group

  Non players, novices and experienced players are all welcome as we have experienced players willing to teach. The playing partners are selected randomly each session and therefore you get to meet other group members quickly and we play the game for fun with no aspirations for league play.  It is suitable for the novice to the experienced player as we learn from each other, so please join us.

The Leader

I moved to Verwood in June 2021 having come from Highcliffe. During my ten years in Highcliffe I was involved with the Highcliffe Community Association (membership of 1300), 2 years volunteer, 4 years Treasurer and 4 years Chairman so joining U3A was a natural progression.   The Association had 45 groups but my favourite was Cribbage, both for the mental agility required and the social aspect of the group, hence my request to begin such a group within U3A..   My love of the game came from playing it with my father and uncle from the age of five.
